Year 8 boys win Geographical Association WorldWise Quiz at Wellington College.
Well done to the Papplewick team of Year 8 boys including Alex Hall and Robert Banks who won the Geographical Association WorldWise Quiz.
Competing against six other schools (most of which had two or more teams) the boys had to answer increasingly hard questions about Field Work, London Landmarks and Flags and Capitals. After a fairly average score for the first three rounds, the boys shone in the Alphabet challenge (e.g. what A is the ocean between America and Europe), and the Olympian questions.
After these two rounds, Papplewick had shot up to second, with only Eagle House to beat. In a final and exciting round of ‘Guess the country shape’ the boys came out victorious getting every question correct and scoring an amazing 43/50.
