The Physical Education department at Papplewick aims to deliver a broad range of topics that cover the sports and activities not experienced in the major sports of football, rugby and cricket. Boys are introduced to badminton, gymnastics, basketball, hockey, SAQ training, athletics, tennis and swimming as part of a balanced Physical Education programme. The programme is structured so that skills and activities are introduced and built upon each year giving the boys a chance to refine and develop their skills in each sport.
The Physical Education department is very well resourced. We have a state of the art sports hall, astroturf, and a covered swimming pool for year round swimming.
All boys in year 2-7 take part in a double period of Physical Education each week in order to allow them to develop suitable sporting skills, and to promote a healthy way of living for the future.
